Step 3: Finding the Root Cause This STEP will guide you in uncovering the root cause of your Complex Problem. It's here that potential solutions begin to surface.
Step 4: Resource Identification Learn how to identify resources available to solve your Complex Problem, ensuring a cost-effective and sometimes even a no-cost solution.
Step 5: Desired Result Formulation Frame the desired result within the system, applying the resources identified in Step 4 to eliminate the Complex Problem efficiently. This step will yield several viable solutions.
Step 6: Contradiction Formulation and Principle Selection When multiple demands conflict with each other, this STEP helps you articulate these contradictions and select a principle to resolve them. If the accepted principles don't lead to a solution, it's time for Step 7.
