Welcome to Hands-On Penetration Testing Labs 3.0! • This is an advanced, standalone course that continues from the previous editions (1.0 and 2.0) and can be taken independently or as part of a broader learning path. Whether you're new to penetration testing or looking to sharpen your skills, this course will equip you with real-world experience through a series of hands-on technical labs.
Course Overview:
In this course, we'll immerse ourselves in the world of cyber security by engaging with a variety of hands-on technical labs. The focus is on practical skills, minimizing theory to ensure you're prepared for real-world scenarios and certifications such as OSCP.
What You Need:
- A reliable Internet connection
- A laptop or PC capable of running at least two virtual machines (VMs)
- Suggested RAM: 8 GB minimum; preferably 16 GB or 32 GB for a more advanced lab setup
- A decent processor (more cores/threads will be beneficial)
Technologies Used:
- Virtual Box as our hypervisor of choice
- Kali Linux, the industry-standard penetration testing operating system
- A set of intentionally vulnerable VMs to practice against a range of network services and web applications
Course Curriculum Highlights:
- Enumeration: Discovering information about a system or network
- Vulnerability Scanning: Identifying weaknesses in systems and networks
- Automated and Manual Exploitation: Learning how to exploit vulnerabilities found during the scanning phase
- Key Pentesting Skills: Including but not limited to:
- Port scanning and service enumeration
- Local File Inclusion (LFI)
- Web directory brute forcing
- Buffer overflow exploits
- SQL injection
- Cross-Site Scripting (XSS)
- Various types of reverse shells
- Local privilege escalation techniques

The software tools and environments may evolve over time, but they should remain similar enough for you to adapt with a bit of research or assistance from me when needed.
