The claimant's server system 100 is configured to communicate with the client app 150 over a mobile network, and it includes a backend service module 110 for handling prescriptions, a backend service module 120 for handling lab results, and a backend service module 130 for handling appointments. The backend service modules are interconnected through an internal communication protocol within the server system 100, and each of the backend service modules can independently communicate with the client app 150 over the mobile network. The claimant's system allows a user to use a mobile device to send health-related information to healthcare providers (e.g., doctors, laboratories) and receive health-related information from healthcare providers. The system can support various types of services, such as telemedicine, e-healthcare, online appointment booking, prescription management, and lab result access. [0044] In a further embodiment, the backend service module for handling prescriptions 110 is configured to generate a digital representation of a prescription in response to receiving a prescription order from a healthcare provider over the mobile network. The digital representation of the prescription can then be transmitted to the client app 150, where it can be accessed by the user. In another embodiment, the backend service module for handling lab results 120 is configured to receive lab result data from a laboratory over the mobile network and to generate a digital representation of the lab results which can then be transmitted to the client app 150, where it can be accessed by the user. In yet another embodiment, the backend service module for handling appointments 130 is configured to allow users to view available appointment times with healthcare providers and to book appointments electronically with healthcare providers through the client app 150 over the mobile network. The claimant's system can thus facilitate a user-friendly platform where patients can manage their health records, including prescriptions, lab results, and appointments, by interacting with healthcare providers through a single mobile application. This system can significantly improve patient engagement and satisfaction as well as streamline healthcare provider workflows. The claimant's system can also be adapted to include additional backend service modules for handling other health-related services, such as dietary plans, exercise regimens, mental health support, etc., thus providing a comprehensive e-health solution. Claims:
- A method of managing health records comprising: receiving health record information from a healthcare provider; generating a digital representation of the health record information; and transmitting the digital representation to a client application on a mobile device used by a patient, wherein the client application is configured to communicate with backend service modules over a mobile network, and wherein the backend service modules are specialized for handling different types of health records such as prescriptions, lab results, and appointments.
- The method of claim 1, wherein the step of receiving health record information from a healthcare provider includes receiving prescription order information, and the backend service module for handling prescriptions is further configured to generate a digital representation of a prescription in response to receiving the prescription order information from the healthcare provider.
- The method of claim 2, wherein the digital representation of the prescription includes drug names, dosages, frequency of administration, duration of treatment, and any other relevant information, and is accessible by the patient through the client application on the mobile device.
- The method of claim 1 or 2, wherein the step of receiving health record information from a healthcare provider includes receiving lab result data, and the backend service module for handling lab results is further configured to generate a digital representation of the lab results which is accessible by the patient through the client application on the mobile device.
- The method of any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the step of transmitting the digital representation to the client application on the mobile device includes transmitting the digital representation over a secure communication protocol to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the health record information.
- The method of any one of claims 1 to 5, further comprising: allowing users to book appointments with healthcare providers through the client application on the mobile device by accessing the backend service module for handling appointments, and viewing available appointment times with the healthcare providers.
- The method of any one of claims 1 to 6, further comprising: integrating additional backend service modules for handling other health-related services such as dietary plans, exercise regimens, mental health support, etc., thereby providing a comprehensive e-health solution.
- A system for managing health records, the system comprising: a client application configured to run on a mobile device and to communicate with backend service modules over a mobile network; and backend service modules specialized for handling different types of health records such as prescriptions, lab results, and appointments, each backend service module being configurable to generate a digital representation of health record information received from a healthcare provider, which can then be transmitted to the client application.
- The system of claim 8, wherein the backend service module for handling prescriptions is further configured to manage prescription orders, drug names, dosages, frequency of administration, and duration of treatment.
- The system of claim 8 or 9, wherein the backend service module for handling lab results is further configured to manage receipt of lab result data from laboratories and to provide a digital representation of lab results which can be accessed by users through the client application on the mobile device.
- The system of any one of claims 8 to 10, wherein the backend service module for handling appointments is further configured to facilitate electronic booking of appointments with healthcare providers and to display available appointment times to users through the client application on the mobile device.
- The system of any one of claims 8 to 11, wherein the client application is further configured to present the digital representations of health records in a user-friendly format and to allow users to interact with their healthcare providers through messaging or video conferencing features within the client application.
- A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions which, when executed by a processing unit, cause the processing unit to perform the method of any one of claims 1 to 12. The above description is illustrative and not restrictive. Various modifications and variations of the present system and method can be made without departing from the scope and spirit of the claims.
