Turn your passion for sports into a legitimate career…even without prior blogging experience or industry connections.
Are you tired of telling yourself, “This is the year I’m going to start my own sports blog” or “This is the year I actually start writing about sports”… every year? How do you even get started, especially if you’re not sure what to do first?
That’s a question I get asked rather consistently, which is why I want to help.
More than seven years ago, I was in the exact same position you’re in right now — I loved sports (baseball in particular), wanted to stay connected to the game I loved, and thought it’d be cool to have my own sports blog.
The one issue? I had no clue what the heck I was doing. So, I just dove in and tried to figure it out along the way.
I’m proud to look back on all that trial and error now as a worthwhile journey. I’ve published more than 2,000 articles that have generated nearly 10 million page views at sites like Bleacher Report, Yahoo! Sports, FanDuel Insider, numberFire, The Sports Daily, Metsmerized Online, and more.
I’ve helped successfully launch multiple blogs that generated 5,000 page views by the end of the first month, and I went from being a beginner sports blogger with no clue what I was doing to being a full-time sportswriter/editor within three-and-a-half years.
While there are tons of those “how to” online articles about starting a sports blog and making money from it, they completely gloss over the VERY beginning of the process, which is the most crucial.
This course is based off my Sports Blogging 101 book and guides you through the beginning stages of becoming a sports blogger. This includes exploring and discovering your niche, going through the steps to actually own a URL, creating a content strategy, building an engaged social media following, and much more.
I share all of the things I’ve learned and did (and for the most part, still do) during the early stages of my sports blogging career so you don’t have to encounter nearly as much trial and error as I did.
Everyone deserves the opportunity to do something they’re passionate about. If you love sports, want to share your opinions and aren’t sure how, this is the best place to get a crash course on how to start a sports blog, hit the ground running, and doing it with confidence.
